Marriage Counseling

When it comes to marriage counseling, Mend Center for Psychotherapy offers several counseling options for a wide range of challenges couples are facing today.

Relational Tune-Up

If your relationship has grown stagnant and needs a bit of a recharge, Mend Center for Psychotherapy has a marriage counseling option for you.

  • Our counselors offer an initial consultation that will help you and your partner identify the areas you feel struck.

  • We will come up with a plan of action to reclaim a sense of connection, trust and passion in the relationship.

  • Couples often leave that initial consultation with a renewed hope and a greater sense of clarity.

  • Most couples benefit from weekly marriage counseling sessions for 3-6 months to achieve their desired outcomes.

Relational Distress

Is your relationship in jeopardy? Do you find yourself dealing with patterns of escalating conflict that leaves both you and your partner wondering if the relationship is salvageable? There is hope for your relationship!

  • The counselors at Mend Center for Psychotherapy are uniquely equipped to help with quieting the ongoing distress, address the problems directly, yet compassionately and help you and your partner heal from the significant pain the relationship has caused.

  • Ongoing weekly marriage counseling sessions designed to help you save your marriage

Couple’s Intensive

Do the traditional models of counseling not fit your busy schedule? Did you need help yesterday and need a jump start on addressing the problems your relationship is facing? If so, a couple’s counseling intensive might be just the right fit.

  • You will meet with your counselor for 9-12 hours over one or two weekends.

  • The first 3 hours are dedicated to identifying the core issues by defining the problems and articulating a plan of action.

  • The remaining time is focused on helping you and your partner develop the capacities, both self and relational, to restore a sense of confidence in your ability to cultivate and sustain a fulfilling and meaningful relationship.
